Day #2 route On the second day of travel, we drove from Washington DC to Myrtle Beach, SC. It was a long day in the car because we traveled 428 miles.  During our trip, we visited three more states - Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina.  As we were leaving Washington DC, we drove past a couple more Washington DC sites.  We were able to get a little closer to the US Capitol Building (well....sort of - as you can see there are huge fences around the building and military vehicles for security purposes). We are on our way! My parents decided to make distance learning a very unique experience for me and my sister, Madeline.  After our half day of school on Friday, February 12th, we got in the car and prepared for an exciting journey. Although I wasn't looking forward to DAYS in the car, I was excited to get to our final destination and see some new things along the way.  I hope you enjoy my travel journal.
